Quels facteurs assurent l&rsquo;efficacit&eacute; de ces soins?<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tIl en est d&eacute;coul&eacute; une &eacute;tude &agrave; m&eacute;thodes mixtes qui renferme une analyse des bases de donn&eacute;es de l&rsquo;Institut canadien d&rsquo;information sur la sant&eacute; (1996-2007), un sondage pancanadien men&eacute; aupr&egrave;s de plus de 13 000 membres du personnel infirmier communautaire et des consultations aupr&egrave;s de 23 groupes de r&eacute;flexion r&eacute;unissant des d&eacute;cideurs et des infirmi&egrave;res et infirmiers de premi&egrave;re ligne en sant&eacute; publique.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tL&rsquo;&eacute;tude a r&eacute;v&eacute;l&eacute; qu&rsquo;en 2007, 16 % de la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre infirmi&egrave;re, soit plus de 53 000 infirmi&egrave;res et infirmiers, travaillaient dans le secteur communautaire. Ce chiffre n&rsquo;a pas chang&eacute;, en termes de pourcentage de l&rsquo;ensemble du personnel infirmier, depuis les cinq derni&egrave;res ann&eacute;es. Les infirmi&egrave;res et infirmiers en sant&eacute; communautaire sont plus &acirc;g&eacute;s et plus &eacute;duqu&eacute;s que la moyenne du personnel infirmier. Plus de la moiti&eacute; travaillent &agrave; temps plein, et plus de 95 % sont des femmes.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tLes chercheurs ont &eacute;galement &eacute;tabli les attributs organisationnels qui favorisent l&rsquo;efficacit&eacute; du personnel infirmier de la sant&eacute; publique (le sous-ensemble le plus important du personnel infirmier en sant&eacute; communautaire). Ces attributs comprennent &laquo; la souplesse dans le financement, la conception des programmes et les descriptions de t&acirc;ches; une vision organisationnelle claire guid&eacute;e par des valeurs communes et les besoins communautaires; [et] une planification coordonn&eacute;e en sant&eacute; publique dans toutes les instances. &raquo; (Traduction libre)<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tLe personnel infirmier sond&eacute; a nomm&eacute; les attributs qui l&rsquo;aident &agrave; s&rsquo;acquitter efficacement de ses t&acirc;ches : une vision; des comportements favorisant la motivation et l&rsquo;autonomie; un soutien facilitant son travail de plus longue haleine, comme l&rsquo;&eacute;tablissement de relations de travail et d&rsquo;&eacute;quipes avec les organismes communautaires et la client&egrave;le, ainsi que d&rsquo;autres professionnels.
