Cr&eacute;&eacute;s en 2008 apr&egrave;s une refonte des services de sant&eacute; provinciaux, les Services de sant&eacute; de l&rsquo;Alberta ont rapidement fait de l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute; une priorit&eacute; strat&eacute;gique, puis ont fix&eacute; des cibles en vue d&rsquo;am&eacute;liorer l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; dans les r&eacute;sultats de sant&eacute; de la population albertaine. La vitesse et la facilit&eacute; d&rsquo;ex&eacute;cution &agrave; ce titre s&rsquo;expliquent par la qualit&eacute; du leadership des cadres sup&eacute;rieurs, des gestionnaires de premi&egrave;re ligne, des responsables de la planification strat&eacute;gique, des praticiens et des partenaires communautaires.<\/p>\n<p>Les activit&eacute;s n&rsquo;ont pas progress&eacute; sans heurts, notamment &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;gard d&rsquo;une question aussi fondamentale qu&rsquo;une compr&eacute;hension commune de &laquo; l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute; &raquo;. Lors de la planification, le manque et l&rsquo;utilit&eacute; de donn&eacute;es locales sur la sant&eacute; des populations se sont fait tout de suite sentir.
