Ces documents se veulent des outils d&rsquo;apprentissage. Ils visent &agrave; aider le personnel de la sant&eacute; publique &agrave; s&rsquo;int&eacute;resser aux caract&eacute;ristiques d&rsquo;un leadership efficace pour faire avancer l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute; de m&ecirc;me qu&rsquo;aux strat&eacute;gies et conditions propices &agrave; l&rsquo;acquisition et au renforcement de ces qualit&eacute;s chez les leaders de tous les &eacute;chelons dans le secteur de la sant&eacute; publique.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;&eacute;tude de cas concerne les activit&eacute;s de la Western Health, qui fournit des services de sant&eacute; &agrave; quelque 78 000 personnes vivant sur la c&ocirc;te ouest de l&rsquo;&icirc;le de Terre-Neuve.<\/p>\n<p>Les efforts de la Western Health pour att&eacute;nuer les iniquit&eacute;s en sant&eacute; s&rsquo;appuient sur sa longue feuille de route en mati&egrave;re de collaboration intersectorielle et d&rsquo;engagement communautaire. Des cadres travaillant dans les secteurs de l&rsquo;&eacute;ducation, de l&rsquo;enseignement sup&eacute;rieur et des comp&eacute;tences et des services &agrave; l&rsquo;enfance, &agrave; la jeunesse et &agrave; la famille font partie du Comit&eacute; Linkages et se rencontrent trimestriellement afin d&rsquo;&eacute;changer des id&eacute;es et de trouver des solutions aux probl&egrave;mes. Le Comit&eacute; a &laquo; d&rsquo;abord et avant tout pour objectif d&rsquo;entretenir des liens &raquo;, de dire un gestionnaire principal.<\/p>\n<p>La Western Health s&rsquo;engage directement aupr&egrave;s des collectivit&eacute;s en contribuant aux comit&eacute;s consultatifs communautaires locaux qui prennent des d&eacute;cisions fond&eacute;es sur des donn&eacute;es issues de l&rsquo;&eacute;valuation triennale des besoins communautaires.<\/p>\n<p>Les personnes interrog&eacute;es affirment qu&rsquo;elles n&rsquo;auraient pu y arriver sans le soutien de la direction, la d&eacute;signation de postes affect&eacute;s &agrave; l&rsquo;engagement communautaire et une exp&eacute;rience et une culture de collaboration. Les principaux obstacles ont consist&eacute; &agrave; disposer du temps n&eacute;cessaire pour collaborer de mani&egrave;re efficace, &agrave; trouver les mots sur lesquels tout le monde pouvait s&rsquo;entendre pour parler des iniquit&eacute;s et des interventions n&eacute;cessaires, &agrave; &eacute;valuer l&rsquo;incidence du programme et &agrave; renforcer la capacit&eacute; organisationnelle.<\/p>\n<h3>Servez-vous de cet outil pour<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>mieux comprendre les conditions et les syst&egrave;mes facilitant l&rsquo;action intersectorielle et l&rsquo;engagement communautaire;<\/li>\n<li>encourager la discussion sur les facteurs en mesure de susciter le soutien organisationnel envers le leadership et le travail pour l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute;;<\/li>\n<li>apprendre comment les donn&eacute;es probantes peuvent servir &agrave; favoriser la prise en compte de l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute; dans les priorit&eacute;s de sant&eacute;;<\/li>\n<li>soutenir le travail de vos partenaires communautaires qui d&eacute;ploient des efforts pour influer sur les d&eacute;terminants sociaux.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>R&eacute;f&eacute;rence bibliographique<\/h3>\n<p>Centre de collaboration nationale sur les d&eacute;terminants de la sant&eacute;.
