La s&eacute;rie de documents sert d&rsquo;outil d&rsquo;apprentissage. Les divers num&eacute;ros sont con&ccedil;us pour aider le personnel de la sant&eacute; publique &agrave; examiner le r&ocirc;le du leadership pour faire avancer l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute; et les strat&eacute;gies et les conditions propices &agrave; former et &agrave; soutenir des leaders &agrave; tous les &eacute;chelons.<\/p>\n<p>En 2012, le minist&egrave;re de la Sant&eacute; et des Soins de longue dur&eacute;e (Ontario) a d&eacute;gag&eacute; des fonds afin de cr&eacute;er deux postes &eacute;quivalents &agrave; temps plein pour l&rsquo;ensemble des 36&nbsp;bureaux de sant&eacute; publique de la province. La pr&eacute;sente &eacute;tude de cas porte sur la cr&eacute;ation et l&rsquo;instauration de postes d&rsquo;infirmi&egrave;res et d&rsquo;infirmiers en sant&eacute; publique responsables des d&eacute;terminants sociaux de la sant&eacute; dans les bureaux de sant&eacute; publique locaux. En s&rsquo;appuyant sur la m&eacute;thode de l&rsquo;&eacute;tude de cas, les auteurs ont interrog&eacute; 42 personnes et pass&eacute; en revue plus de deux cents documents afin d&rsquo;en d&eacute;gager les principaux facteurs intervenant dans l&rsquo;instauration de tels postes sur le plan local. Elles en sont venues &agrave; faire les constatations suivantes&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Il faut apprendre &agrave; travailler diff&eacute;remment.<\/li>\n<li>Il faut amorcer un virage dans la fa&ccedil;on de travailler en milieu organisationnel.<\/li>\n<li>La mise en &oelig;uvre doit respecter les attentes &eacute;nonc&eacute;es par le gouvernement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les auteurs de l&rsquo;&eacute;tude de cas ont constat&eacute; que le leadership joue un r&ocirc;le de premier plan dans la mise en place de postes d&rsquo;infirmi&egrave;res et d&rsquo;infirmiers de la sant&eacute; publique charg&eacute;s des d&eacute;terminants sociaux de la sant&eacute; et le travail fait pour l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute; sur le plan organisationnel.
