Pensons, par exemple, au peu d&rsquo;&eacute;tablissements d&rsquo;enseignement sup&eacute;rieur, de perspectives d&rsquo;emploi, de technologies et d&rsquo;infrastructure technologique (Internet haute vitesse), de biens et de services de sant&eacute; complets, de fonds publics et de ressources n&eacute;cessaires au d&eacute;veloppement durable de la collectivit&eacute; (p. 750).&thinsp;&raquo; (Traduction libre)<\/p>\n<p>On sait depuis longtemps que les d&eacute;terminants sociaux de la sant&eacute; (revenu, &eacute;ducation, logement, etc.) sont des facteurs influant consid&eacute;rablement sur l&rsquo;&eacute;tat de sant&eacute;. Cependant, il ne suffit pas d&rsquo;agir sur l&rsquo;ensemble de ces facteurs pour garantir l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute;, particuli&egrave;rement en milieu rural.&nbsp;Il ne faut pas n&eacute;gliger les d&eacute;terminants structurels comme le climat politique, l&rsquo;influence des entreprises et l&rsquo;acc&egrave;s aux ressources, car ils entrent directement en ligne de compte dans les conditions de vie et l&rsquo;&eacute;tat de sant&eacute;.<\/p>\n<p>Dans ce texte publi&eacute; dans la Revue canadienne de sant&eacute; publique, les auteurs d&eacute;finissent les principaux d&eacute;terminants &agrave; consid&eacute;rer pour &eacute;tablir des politiques et des programmes assurant l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute; dans les milieux ruraux du Canada. Ils expliquent l&rsquo;importance d&rsquo;int&eacute;grer dans un nouveau mod&egrave;le ce qu&rsquo;ils d&eacute;crivent comme &eacute;tant les d&eacute;terminants politiques, commerciaux et industriels.
