La discussion est encadr&eacute;e par la conviction que les chercheurs en sant&eacute; ont une responsabilit&eacute; partag&eacute;e dans la lutte contre les diff&eacute;rences syst&eacute;miques, injustes et &eacute;vitables en mati&egrave;re de sant&eacute; (iniquit&eacute;s en sant&eacute;).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color:#242424\">Cinq mod&egrave;les mentaux qui entravent la transformation des syst&egrave;mes<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color:#242424\">Pour s&rsquo;attaquer aux causes profondes des iniquit&eacute;s en sant&eacute;, il est n&eacute;cessaire de redistribuer le pouvoir et, par extension, de transformer les syst&egrave;mes. L&rsquo;auteure de ce commentaire souligne qu&rsquo;il faut pour cela modifier des croyances profond&eacute;ment ancr&eacute;es, &eacute;galement connues sous le nom de mod&egrave;les mentaux. Elle explore cinq mod&egrave;les mentaux qui tendent &agrave; entraver le changement transformateur des syst&egrave;mes&nbsp;:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">Euph&eacute;mismes&nbsp;:<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color:#242424\"> les chercheurs en sant&eacute; minimisent les causes profondes des iniquit&eacute;s en choisissant des termes plus mod&eacute;r&eacute;s et moins d&eacute;rangeants (p. ex. en rempla&ccedil;ant &laquo;&nbsp;racisme et antiracisme&nbsp;&raquo; par &laquo;&nbsp;&eacute;quit&eacute;, diversit&eacute; et inclusion&nbsp;&raquo;). Cela revient &agrave; poser un diagnostic erron&eacute; du probl&egrave;me et &agrave; proposer des solutions souvent inefficaces et incompl&egrave;tes (p. ex. proposer d&rsquo;organiser davantage d&rsquo;ateliers ou de constituer des &eacute;quipes plus &laquo;&nbsp;diversifi&eacute;es&nbsp;&raquo;).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">Le juste milieu&nbsp;: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">les chercheurs en sant&eacute; privil&eacute;gient la politesse et la neutralit&eacute;. Ils &eacute;tudient et d&eacute;crivent les iniquit&eacute;s sans remettre en question les forces et les syst&egrave;mes qui distribuent le pouvoir et les ressources et maintiennent ainsi le statu quo. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">Distractions&nbsp;: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">les chercheurs en sant&eacute; partent du principe que les d&eacute;cideurs sont bien intentionn&eacute;s et que, quand ils disposent de plus d&rsquo;informations, ils agissent pour rem&eacute;dier &agrave; l&rsquo;injustice institutionnalis&eacute;e. Plut&ocirc;t que de s&rsquo;engager dans de v&eacute;ritables efforts de changement, les chercheurs en sant&eacute; se distraient avec des activit&eacute;s comme la collecte d&rsquo;informations et la planification strat&eacute;gique. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">Myst&egrave;re&nbsp;: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">les chercheurs en sant&eacute; estiment que les probl&egrave;mes syst&eacute;miques sont trop vastes et trop myst&eacute;rieux pour &ecirc;tre r&eacute;solus ou m&ecirc;me abord&eacute;s. Ils ignorent qu&rsquo;ils ont le pouvoir d&rsquo;agir diff&eacute;remment (p.&nbsp;ex. ils peuvent dire&nbsp;: &laquo;&nbsp;c&rsquo;est trop complexe&nbsp;&raquo; ou &laquo;&nbsp;ce n&rsquo;est pas de mon ressort&nbsp;&raquo;). <\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">Capacit&eacute;&nbsp;: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color:#242424\">les chercheurs en sant&eacute; ne voient pas que leur travail est (en grande partie) financ&eacute; par des fonds publics et qu&rsquo;ils ont &agrave; la fois la responsabilit&eacute; et la capacit&eacute; de servir la soci&eacute;t&eacute;. Ils agissent comme s&rsquo;ils ne pouvaient pas s&rsquo;organiser et plaider en faveur du changement au sein de leurs propres institutions. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Utilisez cette ressource pour :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color:#242424\">Examiner les croyances profondes qui peuvent emp&ecirc;cher les organisations de sant&eacute; publique d&rsquo;agir en faveur de l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#242424\">R&eacute;fl&eacute;chir &agrave; la mani&egrave;re dont on se rend complice du maintien de syst&egrave;mes injustes (p. ex. le racisme et la colonisation)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#242424\">D&eacute;finir des strat&eacute;gies concr&egrave;tes pour modifier les croyances profond&eacute;ment ancr&eacute;es et redistribuer le pouvoir en faveur de l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute; en sant&eacute;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Ad&eacute;quation avec le travail du CCNDS :<strong><span style=\"color:#242424\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color:#242424\">Plusieurs ressources du CCNDS consid&egrave;rent que l&rsquo;autor&eacute;flexion critique est n&eacute;cessaire &agrave; une action anti-oppressive et ax&eacute;e sur l&rsquo;&eacute;quit&eacute;. Ces m&ecirc;mes ressources permettent de cibler des occasions de remettre en cause le statu quo et de perturber les iniquit&eacute;s syst&eacute;miques.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le CCNDS a publi&eacute; plusieurs ressources permettant de comprendre la dynamique du pouvoir et de faire face &agrave; l&rsquo;oppression syst&eacute;mique.
