{"id":6553,"date":"2024-02-26T15:13:00","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T15:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nccdh.local\/resource\/job-quality-and-precarious-employment-among-lesbian-gay-and-bisexual-workers-a-national-study\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T17:15:18","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T17:15:18","slug":"job-quality-and-precarious-employment-among-lesbian-gay-and-bisexual-workers-a-national-study","status":"publish","type":"resource","link":"https:\/\/nccdh-dev.media-doc.ca\/fr\/resources\/entry\/job-quality-and-precarious-employment-among-lesbian-gay-and-bisexual-workers-a-national-study\/","title":{"rendered":"Job quality and precarious employment among lesbian, gay, and bisexual workers: A national study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Cette ressource est disponible en anglais seulement.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&laquo; Les travailleuses et les travailleurs appartenant &agrave; des minorit&eacute;s sexuelles [gais, lesbiennes et bisexuels] m&eacute;ritent d&rsquo;avoir acc&egrave;s &agrave; un emploi s&eacute;curitaire, bien r&eacute;mun&eacute;r&eacute; et assorti d&rsquo;avantages sociaux, o&ugrave; ils peuvent nouer des liens et &ecirc;tre &agrave; l&rsquo;abri de la discrimination &raquo; (p. 1).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dans cette &eacute;tude de 2023, les auteurs Kinitz, Shahidi et Ross utilisent les donn&eacute;es de l&rsquo;Enqu&ecirc;te sociale g&eacute;n&eacute;rale de 2016 : Les Canadiens au travail et &agrave; la maison pour &eacute;tudier la qualit&eacute; de l&rsquo;emploi (c&rsquo;est-&agrave;-dire les conditions d&rsquo;emploi et de travail) de la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre issue des communaut&eacute;s lesbienne, gaie et bisexuelle, et de comparer les r&eacute;sultats en mati&egrave;re d&rsquo;emploi avec ceux de leurs homologues h&eacute;t&eacute;rosexuels.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;&eacute;tude met en &eacute;vidence des iniquit&eacute;s omnipr&eacute;sentes en mati&egrave;re d&rsquo;emploi : les travailleuses et les travailleurs des communaut&eacute;s lesbienne, gaie et bisexuelle sont presque trois fois plus susceptibles d&rsquo;occuper un emploi pr&eacute;caire que leurs homologues h&eacute;t&eacute;rosexuels. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Persistance de la discrimination et de l&rsquo;hostilit&eacute; &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;gard de la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre issue de minorit&eacute;s sexuelles<\/h3>\n<p>Les auteurs situent ces nouveaux r&eacute;sultats dans le cadre des donn&eacute;es probantes sur la discrimination et l&rsquo;hostilit&eacute; persistantes dont est victime la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre issue de minorit&eacute;s sexuelles sur le march&eacute; du travail (p. ex. dans l&rsquo;embauche, la promotion et le maintien dans l&rsquo;emploi). &laquo; Cette hostilit&eacute; et cette discrimination sur le march&eacute; du travail influencent les r&eacute;sultats en mati&egrave;re d&rsquo;emploi et la qualit&eacute; de l&rsquo;emploi de la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre issue de minorit&eacute;s sexuelles &raquo; (p. 7).<\/p>\n<h3>Appel &agrave; une am&eacute;lioration des donn&eacute;es sur les conditions de travail de la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre issue de minorit&eacute;s sexuelles<\/h3>\n<p>&laquo; L&rsquo;une des principales constatations de cette &eacute;tude est ce qui ne peut pas &ecirc;tre compris au sujet de la qualit&eacute; de l&rsquo;emploi de la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre issue de minorit&eacute;s sexuelles dans le paysage actuel des donn&eacute;es &raquo; (p. 7). Pour contrer cette difficult&eacute;, les auteurs demandent l&rsquo;am&eacute;lioration des donn&eacute;es et soulignent les lacunes importantes dans les donn&eacute;es des enqu&ecirc;tes nationales. Les lacunes touchent l&rsquo;orientation sexuelle et l&rsquo;identit&eacute; de genre, les intersections avec d&rsquo;autres caract&eacute;ristiques sociod&eacute;mographiques, ainsi que l&rsquo;emploi et les conditions de travail.<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, les auteurs soulignent la n&eacute;cessit&eacute; d&rsquo;interventions &agrave; plusieurs niveaux (individuel, professionnel et des politiques publiques) pour rem&eacute;dier &agrave; la faible qualit&eacute; de l&rsquo;emploi chez les personnes lesbiennes, gaies et bisexuelles.&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Utilisez cette ressource pour<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Comprendre comment les conditions d&rsquo;emploi pr&eacute;caires nuisibles &agrave; la sant&eacute; ont des r&eacute;percussions disproportionn&eacute;es sur la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre issue des communaut&eacute;s lesbienne, gaie et bisexuelle au Canada<\/li>\n<li>Soutenir les interventions de sant&eacute; publique visant &agrave; promouvoir le travail d&eacute;cent pour l&rsquo;ensemble des travailleuses et des travailleurs, y compris les personnes 2SLGBTQI+<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Ad&eacute;quation avec le travail du CCNDS<\/h3>\n<p>L&rsquo;emploi et les conditions de travail sont des <a href=\"https:\/\/nccdh-dev.media-doc.ca\/fr\/resources\/entry\/determining-health-decent-work-issue-brief\" style=\"color:blue; text-decoration:underline\">d&eacute;terminants sociaux de la sant&eacute; interd&eacute;pendants<\/a>. Les conditions d&rsquo;emploi pr&eacute;caires augmentent dans tout le Canada, contribuent &agrave; des dommages &eacute;vitables pour la sant&eacute; et affectent de mani&egrave;re disproportionn&eacute;e la main-d&rsquo;&oelig;uvre qui subit une oppression syst&eacute;mique, notamment l&rsquo;h&eacute;t&eacute;rosexisme et la discrimination fond&eacute;e sur l&rsquo;orientation sexuelle.
